Frequently excellent, for a few scattered days each spring and fall, birding at Craighead Forest Park is extraordinary. Birding is best early in the morning following stormy nights. In a single morning we’ve had 19 species of wood-warbler and hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals. Sage Thrasher and Say’s Phoebe are among the many rarities found in the Jonesboro area in recent years. Be sure to bird the nearby Crowley's Ridge Nature Center trails and feeders while you're in the area.
