With the right tools the construction of a nice-looking, functional website is no trick at all. Of course creating a popular website loaded with quality content is another matter. I am certainly no expert on the latter. My contribution of original content basically consists of the entries in this blog and a few digiscoped videos documenting bird species rare in Arkansas. The bulk of the content has been generously provided courtesy of the skilled bird photographers of Arkansas.
Website hosting on .Mac (making it available on the internet) requires a subscription. If you’re willing to put up with advertising, lack of support, and other annoyances there are places you can publish your website for free or at minimal cost. Our personal domain, ArkansasBirder.net, is registered, for a small annual fee, through GoDaddy. A personal domain is not strictly necessary, but without one your site’s address is likely to be long and unmemorable.
